I picked up these Frye Rogan Engineer boots at Bootmaster in Toronto before the trip last year…they’re holding up, but barely. Hope they make it through the trip!
On the epic Polar Bear Express. Five hours, 40km/hr. Apparently the train moves so slowly because as it gets further north, the tracks are laid on muskeg and the ground isn’t stable enough for high speeds. After the usual bout of separation anxiety, the lovely manager of the Best Western Hotel, Renee, convinced Mike that his precious brand new BMW GS650 was safe in her hands (and parking area) for the next 36 hours, and we headed across the road to the Ontario Northland station. So excited! We probably won’t have reception until we return, but we’ll be posting our adventures on Friday!
